Seanna Horan is the trusted administrative partner for Michael J. Pencina, PhD, Vice Dean for Data Science at the Duke University School of Medicine. Ms. Horan previously worked for five years with Eric J. Velazquez, MD, Professor of Medicine (cardiovascular research, global clinical trials, heart failure patient care). Prior to joining Duke, Ms. Horan was a small business owner, providing CV/resume services to clients hired by the White House, universities, federal government and Fortune 100 companies. She has a corporate background in communications, training, operations and business development. Ms. Horan graduated with honors from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in mass communications and completed a masters-level program with the MIT Organizational Learning Center. She is a published author and credits her sixth-grade science fair project on the human heart as the spark for lifelong interest in medicine.
