The ABCDS Oversight Committee
ABCDS Oversight’s executive leadership combines clinical knowledge, regulatory expertise, and insights from the quantitative sciences and informatics to provide executive-level oversight and governance of algorithmic models deployed across Duke. Sitting at the interface of the Duke University School of Medicine and the Duke University Health System, the ABCDS Oversight Committee is led by co-chairs Michael J. Pencina, PhD, vice dean for data science for the School of Medicine, and Eric Poon, MD, MPH, chief quality officer for Duke Health Technology Solutions. Drawing on leadership, resources, and operational experience from across the entire University, the Committee also includes the chairs of ABCDS Oversight’s Regulatory, Evaluation, and Implementation and Monitoring Subcommittees, together with leaders drawn from innovation and nursing.
